Book2MyKids "Content of the Week"
Since we are approaching the end of another school year and graduation for many of our kids...
This week's content comes from the Chapter on "Education""Education is important throughout your entire life. Even after you graduate college, periodically take classes to learn new things. In Steve Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", habit #7 is called "Sharpen the Saw." Covey uses an analogy of a woodcutter who is sawing for several days straight and is becoming less and less productive. The woodcutting process dulls the blade. His solution is to periodically sharpen the saw.
Even if you have a good job you should still periodically learn new things. There are many one to two hour webinars you can sign up for, and most of them are free. You can read educational books or attend a seminar. Whatever it is, keep you mind sharp. Never stop learning.
